Do it again: repeating success at the Olympics

People always say I’m a legend, but I’m not. Not until I’ve defended my Olympic titles. That’s when I’ve decided I’ll be a legend – Usain Bolt

Every athlete and coach in London will tell you they want to win. That’s true.

But they also long for one another thing … to win, win and win some more.

Winning at the Olympic Games is tough. But there is one thing which is ever tougher. One Olympic challenge which makes winning in London in 2012 seem almost laughably easy.

Doing it again.

Repeating success in high performance sport is the greatest challenge any athlete, team or coach can face.

Doesn’t matter what sport.

Doesn’t matter what era.

Doesn’t matter where in the world the competition is being held.

Repeating success is one thing that drives the best of the best.

Do it again: repeating success at the Olympics.

    Nice article!

    I absolutely agree that toughness is exhibited through consistency. Anyone can have a good day – it takes effort and preparation and commitment to ensure a good season or career.
